2013

2013 is going to be a year of complete chaos. There will be hurricans hitting every shore and tornados wipping out every farm. The United States and China will be underwater by April and Canada will attempt to rule the world but will be destroyed by Russia. Twinkies will be saved by Africa and the North Pole will experience no more global warming and all of the polar bears will all be saved. Asia will save the pandas and they will never run out of bambo. Australlia will be the only continent left untouched. Other then that the world will pretty much suck. But in 2014 everything will be fine again.

Rubber Ducks!

This Friday at the Port of Las Angeles customs detained around 35000 Christmas rubber ducks. They were dressed up as Santa, reindeer, and other well known Christmas characters. The toys were filled with too many phthalates which is considered unsafe for children. This is not the first time that people have found massive loads of duckies. 2500 rubber ducks were stolen from police and in 1992 29000 ducks washed up on shore after a storm. They floated hundreds of miles from where they went overboard. Since then they have popped up in Alaska, Japan, and Hawaii. Because of these rubber ducks, scientists have been able to get a better sense of ocean currents and tracking water movements.

Hugh Hefner Getting Married

Last year Hugh Hefner was set to marry his 25 year old girlfriend, Crystal Harris. Unfortunatly it was called off, but now it is back on! They are to get married by the end of this month on New Years Eve. They just recieved their own marriage licsense. This is great because Hugh has a kid that is over 30 years older than his wife! However Crystal will probably not recieve the money that she is after by marrying a man 60 years older than her. There are so many gold diggers around but it looks like Hugh finally found someone who was not! Hopefully they will not break up just before the wedding because then Crystal will not get the attention she craves.

A Real Life Grinch

An unidentified 24 year old man from Kingston, Canada was earlier arrested for going around telling young children that Santa Claus was not real. He went around yelling this at a holiday parade dedicated to Santa Claus. He is facing charges of being drunk in public and breaking probation. For this drunken occasion he even dressed up like a Grinch and gelled his hair back to look like devil horns. The families that were at the parade think that crushing their children’s dream should also be one of the charges. The Grinch was released on Sunday but he is not allowed to touch any more alcohol.

Malnourished Disabled 18 Month Old Boy Dies

In Vermillion, Ohio a young boy disabled of 18 months was found dead on his bedroom floor after the mother made a frantic call to the police. The autopsy found that he died from severe malnourishment and dehydration. The parents had 6 adopted children all with disabilities either physical or mental, the oldest being 11. 4 of those 6 children were later hospitalized, and are still there, due to malnourishment as well. The 6 year old weighed only 23 pounds when the normal weight if 50. That is half the normal weight, and the other kids were just as bad. Charges were filed against the parents after all the evidence of extremely bad parenting.

Idiot Woman from Ohio

32-year-old Shena Hardin was caught on camera driving on a sidewalk in order to avoid a school bus that was dropping of children. She could not wait 20 seconds for them to unload. a court In Cleveland ordered her to stand by that intersection for 2 days for an hour each day with a sign that says “Only an idiot drives on the sidewalk to avoid a school bus”. She also had her license suspended for 30 days and had to pay a 250 dollar fine to the courts. Once again she did all of this because she couldn’t wait 20 seconds for children.

Dinosaur turtles!

1,800 Jurassic turtle skeletons were found in mass grave in Xingjiang, China earlier this week. It is said that they were swept in this grave over a million years ago. They are said to have died from natural causes because they were in a dry period for way to long and needed water in order to live. They would gather in the remaining waterholes and wait for the rain to come but it didn’t come. After the rain finally hit it created a long mud river and washed the corpses away. At the grave site there is about 36 turtle’s square mile and each turtle is about 8 inches long. These turtles will open up new research for the paleontologists.

high school secret league exposed

A new sex game called “Fantasy Slut League” was recently discovered in a high ranked California high school. It is like fantasy football except instead of drafting football players they drafted their female classmates and earned the points from the most sexual encounters with their “players”. The game was developed by varsity athletes. The parents are outraged that the school let this on for what is suspected for 5 years. Peer pressure and bullying rose because of this league and many of the kids only participated because of the severe pressure. Strangely none of the students have been punished and everyone just got a warning and they held an assembly explaining why it was wrong.

dog saves baby

In the middle of the night 9 week old Harper Brousseau stopped breathing for unknown reasons. The dog, Duke woke up the parents by jumping on their bed and barking at them. They were confused by his random outburst and why he was shaken and so scared. The Brousseaus checked on their daughter and realized she wasn’t breathing and called the ambulance. They arrived just in time and their daughter was saved. If it was not for Duke waking them up they would have slept through the night and Harper would have died. The Brousseaus are more than grateful that they had adopted Duke 6 years ago. Their family is together because of him.

14 year old girl Malala Yousufzai was shot outside her school by the Taliban because she was famous for speaking against them. She is in critical condition with wounds in her neck and head. She was nominated for many awards for child activists and later had received the highest civilian award. She has been speaking out against the militants and promoting Obama and the western culture in more conservative areas. She has been receiving threats for years but she still continued to speak up even if no one was with her. Doctors are still attempting to save her even though t is becoming quite difficult as time goes by but there are thousands of people praying for her and her bravery.

PETA's major issue with Sea World

An 11 year old killer whale named Nakai was recently injured and was left with a giant hole that has left his jawbone almost completely exposed. He was injured during a show when he was attacked by the other captive males. PETA’s president Ingrid Newkirk stated that “you can’t keep three three males together in what is, for them a fishpond or fishbowl.” It is obvious that they would feel threatened and that they would become aggressive against each other. There have been multiple complaints because the law requires that they have to keep the incompatible animals separate. However Nakai is recovering and is starting to interact again.

Hazing gone to far

In La Puente, California 3 boys as young as 14 on a soccer team accused the older teammates of hazing that turned into sexual assault. They said that it was part of the ritual to get initiated on the Varsity team. The young boys were allegedly beaten naked in a room by the coach’s office. It is also believed that this type of hazing has being going on for a few years. The parents of many kids at this school believe that the school should be held accountable for not stepping in sooner. 4 people might be facing serious charges and the community hopes that something like this will never happen in their community again.

death row inmate too fat for execution?

Ronald Post set date for execution, for murdering Helen Hatz in 1983, was for set for January 16th next year but after some "issues" that might not happened as planned. His lawyers are trying to say that he is too fat, weighing at 480 pounds and 6'3, to be executed for his crimes. They are arguing that it would be too hard for them to find the proper vein to do the process. There have been instances in the past when this was an problem for other overweight prisoners. Post has tried to lose weight in the past but claims it is too hard to do in prison. The victim’s son is outraged by this defense saying it is nothing more than an excuse. His weight might really get him out of this execution.

china quake death toll rises

The Yunnan earthquake that occurred in Beijing this past weekend continues to push destruction on the people and their lives. China started a launch to find more survivors and working throughout the affected area. So far there have been 80 people who have lost their lives due to Quake, hundreds of more injured. It is estimated that there will be a debt of 552 million with 6600 buildings/homes ruined completely and thousands more damaged. They fear that the after-shock will continue to take more lives and destroy even more homes because they do not know how much more to expect from this devastating earthquake.

This summer the rocky mountain regions suffered terribly due to extreme heat and dryness.Wildfires have been taking over these ranges all summer. They all vary in size due to location, levels, and wind. wind is a major factor in small and large fires because it causes the fire to spread more rapidly. a major one in late june caused evacuations of 32000 people. A more recent wildfire happened in pikes peak, colorado. This massive fire destroyed more than 300 homes and killed 2 people. It was right in the middle of tourist season and hurt income. Many believe that the recent uprise in wildfires is caused by global warming but that theory has been questioned and is undetermind.
